Who we are and
what we do:

We invite you to join us here in Beverly Hills for the study of English as a Second Language, sponsored by the City of Beverly Hills. Our program offers an affordable, academic series of ESL courses, attended by an international group of adult students who represent an "international family".

Our students come from every corner of the globe, with a long list of native languages: Italian, Korean, French, Farsi, Spanish, Armenian, Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, Arabic, German, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Nigerian, Greek, Slovakian...

In addition to our regular course of study,we also celebrate holidays and student birthdays, and have even arranged elaborate baby showers for expectant mothers! Occasionally, we plan lunches or dinners at local ethnic restaurants, celebrating the amazing diversity that defines this country in general and the City of Beverly Hills in particular.

We have open enrollment, and students may register at any point in the semester.

Our Mission:
Our classes:

Our classes offer a great opportunity to improve English for Intermediate and Advanced speakers. Each class is two hours long: an Intermediate level meets from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., an Advanced class meets from 11:15 to 1:15, and a Conversation Café group meets from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Conversation Café class offers short readings with "real life" conversation questions to build your confidence and enjoyment of English.  We read articles aloud as a group, with pronunciation issues immediately addressed, then share in a lively conversation about the topics, which include current events, health, legal issues, humor as well as American

and international culture.

You can find more information about our classes  here.

  • Our mission is to provide meaningful, "real life" English, designed to enhance your personal and professional life.  We focus on grammar, pronunciation, idioms, etc., using textbooks, special handouts, music, television shows and films.

  • There is a simple statement that defines the goodwill we share in our ESL program.  It is our firm belief that if the world could get along as well as we get along in our classes, there would be no war.
